Do not buy this item and do not buy this from anyone who sells these scissor doors made by Vertical Doors! You will be sorry !!
You are risking your warranty with GM.
When this is installed, the installer has to jimmy rig the wires in the doors because the OEM wires are not long enough when the scissors doors are opened up, and this wiring extension creates a huge problem ! Since the wires have to be extended, they chop into the stock wires and this voids all door wiring warranties. The doors allow water inside them, and GM will tell you the doors are considered wet. Vertical doors does not use sealed connectors when they open the wire harness by stripping it open, see photo number 2 below. You can see the damage caused by poor handling of the wire harness when the wires were extended. The connections Vertical Door installers use allow corrosion in the wires !!
The doors sensors were installed incorrectly and the airbag sensor was damaged when the door panel was taken off and improperly reinstalled. This was cause by Vertical Door's installer who over torqued it when he reassembled the door. See video # 2.
Please watch both videos below, they are from Courtesy Chevrolet of San Diego, where you can see how this happens with their poor quality connectors and poor installers. They caused over $2,000 damage to our customer's C8. Vertical Doors refused to assume responsibility pay for this damage, and their installer refused to fix the wiring and assembly problems he created.

REMEMBER, it doesn't matter who installs these doors, as they are all installing them in the same manner and your C8 can be damaged in the same way.
